Experimentation with Gouache...

The experimentation continues... it's a hard medium to work in. Going back to paints and traditional mediums has been tough after "Command Z" and infinite numbers of layers. I'm going to make a point to noodle around with paints more often, and get in the habit of getting my hands dirty, so to speak. Comes to show how important it is to know how to use the actual thing.

Hahaha, i know exactly what you mean! When I work traditionally i'll find myself thinking ctrl z. And I found out working digitally that I apparently have a twitch where every so often I wipe off my traditional work (like to remove excess pencil debris) and I'll find myself doing that when I work on a wacom tablet as if there is something on the screen. Funny how the brain works.

Got some neat stuff going on in this piece. Gouache is a fun one!

it IS a hard medium to work with. i've been doing a lot of watercolors lately, which is a little easier. always nice to work with the real thing.

good luck to you!
